Facilities are nice - the Tenuta is very well taken care of and the pool is really nice. The staff are all very kind and helpful, even when we arrived in the middle of the night, and that was much appreciated. We had a Suite on the tower next to the reception, and while the room was not very large, it had a fantastic terrace. The evening restaurant and the aperitivo were also fantastic.
The lunch restaurant by the pool was just alright - I had salads both days and none of them were anything to write home about, and in a place that supposedly grows its own veggies, you would expect a bit more. The dinner restaurant was much better. Breakfast was poor at best. Now, my main qualm about Tenuta Monacelli is that I booked it because it was supposed to be 1 km away from the beach (walking distance). Once we were there, we found out it was actually 5 km, and the person in charge of the reception looked at us surprised when we asked about the beach. The proximity to the beach was really the only reason why I booked this hotel, otherwise I would've booked a cheaper place. This place does not really offer value for money, at least in our experience. If you don't care about the beach, this place is really nice, but you can find cheaper Masserias in the area with a swimming pool as well.

A very tasteful refurbishment of an old historical olive farm. Excellent swimming pool. Food and service were excellent.

We have just spent four lovely nights at Tenuta Monacelli and were very pleased with out time there. The rooms are large, clean and have a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very, very friendly and extremely helpful. This would be an ideal place to go in warm weather to relax by the pool and enjoy some spa services. We ate at the hotel three of four nights and found the food very tasty and the kitchen was very accommodating when our kids did not find something on the the menu that appealed to them. Lecce was only 10 km away and the Brinidisi airport only 25km. All in all a good quick holiday and we would readily reccommend this hotel to others.
To note: we had not been to this region before and were a little put off by the scenery we had to pass en route to the hotel ie. The cement works and all the garbage lying beside the roads everywhere. Once at the hotel, however, all this is quickly and easily forgotten.
